About First Line Defender
On October 7, 2023, the “Iron swords” war broke out following a brutal attack by the Hamas terrorist organization from the Gaza Strip.
The assault on Israeli targeted both civilian and military sites. Alongside the launch of thousands of rockets into Israeli territory, approximately 3,000 terrorists infiltrated Israeli communities near the Gaza border and IDF bases. During the attack, the terrorists massacred 1,145 Israelis and foreign nationals, including women, children, the elderly, and infants, and kidnapped hundreds of Israeli civilians to Gaza. The massacre at the Nova Festival became the deadliest terror attack in Israel’s history.
Hamas terrorists committed crimes against humanity. This day, known as “Black Saturday,” was the deadliest day in Jewish history since the Holocaust.
YAMAM operators were among the first fighters to arrive and defend Israeli civilians, establishing a defensive line that prevented the terrorists from advancing toward central Israel. From this heroic effort, the name of the company, “First Line Defender” was born.

YAMAM fighters Dror Elton, Moshael Shlomo, Bar Sivan, Yorai Eliyahu Cohen, Avraham Henkin, Stas Shinkman, Alexey Shmeklov, Avshalom Peretz, and Chen Nachmias, God blessed their memory, were the first line of defense who sacrificed the most precious thing of all—their personal safety—to protect the citizens of Israel. By doing so, they saved thousands of lives. Few against many, our brothers fell in battle.
First Line Defender has two main objectives: memorialization and donation. Every cap purchased helps support the families of the fallen.
There are countless stories of heroism by YAMAM fighters, hidden in the shadows—secrets even from the families of those who served courageously and gave everything they had. Their stories deserve to be heard and preserved. First Line Defender is proud to honor and commemorate their acts of bravery.
