He was an operator, paratrooper, and team leader for two different teams. Arnon was an intellectual and philosopher, a talented parachutist with over 5,000 jumps. He viewed fighting as a sacred profession and always demanded an extraordinary level of professionalism from himself. He was a devoted family man and a true friend.
Arnon was KIA on June 8, 2024, during the “Iron Swords” war, as part of an operation to free hostages kidnapped in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the Gaza Strip. Arnon led the rescue team and fell in battle as a hero of Israel. In recognition of his bravery, the operation was named “Operation Arnon.”
He was buried in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl and leaves behind a wife, two sons, his parents, a brother, and two sisters.
