Sergeant Major Yorai Eliyahu Cohen
was killed in action. He was 29 years old and served in the Yamam unit for 4 years.
He was an operator in a reconnaissance team and as a breacher. Yorai was a loyal team member, headstrong, honest, and possessing high personal skills, both as an operator and a talented athlete. He even competed in various CrossFit competitions.
Yorai was KIA on October 7, 2023, while fighting in the battles at Sha’ar Hanegev Junction.
He was buried in the military cemetery in Nahariya. He left behind a wife, daughter, parents, a brother, and a sister.
