He was an operator on the reconnaissance team, a dog handler, and a team leader. Yetav was a man with all his heart, as his name suggests. Above all, he was a friend who cared deeply about his people and their welfare. He was a professional in every role he undertook— whether as an operator, a dog handler, or a team leader, putting his heart and soul into his work. He had a charming smile and an open ear for his friends. Yetav enjoyed playing the guitar and was a talented singer with a pleasant voice.
Major Yetav Lev was mortally wounded on May 4, 2024, in the Tulkarm area during the “Iron Swords” war while intercepting a terrorist cell. After fighting for his life, Yetav Lev passed away on May 8, 2024.
He was buried in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl. He left behind his parents and three sisters.
